All 40/40 Series detectors offer enhanced reliability and durability with a massive 5-year warranty. All are fitted with a heated window to withstand the harshest conditions and with HART output to offer quality information during installation or maintenance. Most have an enhanced detection distance and a larger field of view than before. The 40/40 series is SIL 2 approved by TUV and marine type approved by DNV.

Spectrex also makes a CCTV flame detector, a triple IR flame detector with integrated color video camera, to provide the operator with maximum information.

The new SafEye Quasar 900 open path gas detector offering detection path lengths up to 660 ft (200m), it has been fully certified for use in Ex Zone 1 areas to ATEX, IECEx, FM and FMC standards. The Quasar 900’s transmitter and receiver are each housed in a rugged, 316L stainless steel, Ex approved enclosure. Each main enclosure is EExd ?ameproof with an integral, segregated, EExe increased safety terminal section. Via the intrinsically safe approved data port on the receiver, a hand-held communication unit can be connected in-situ, for prognostic and diagnostic maintenance. The Quasar is SIL 2 approved by TUV and marine type approved by DNV.
